❣️ Your Ceres Placement can teach you a good deal about how to connect to a plant Ally. I’ll discuss below how to find out what technique may work best for you, but I’ll also give general suggestions.

In animistic and folk practices, we work with plants not because they offer correspondences in books, but because we build relationships with them and they share how they wish to connect with us.
Connecting with the spirit of a plant is a lot simpler than it seems and should be done over a length of time instead of just once. I recommend beginning by introducing yourself to the spirit of the plant and stating that you want to form a relationship with the plant. I’ve offered a few examples below of how to begin, but check out the page below for more info on how to begin:
Notes about the Magic of Your Ceres Placement
Here are other ways to get to know the spirit:
- Place the plant on your altar in a bowl or scattered on the top.
- Place lavender in a small sachet and sleep with it.
- Drink it as a tea or take a tincture if it is okay for you health-wise.
- Make your own magical oil and use it in candle spells or for anointing.
- Speak to the spirit, ask it questions, channel the energy of the spirit in whatever ways you can more easily tap in.
- Diffuse an essential oil or spray a hydrosol of the plant and notice the way your energies shift.
- Draw the plant and ask it to speak to you as you draw it.
- Meditate with the plant.
When you feel like you know the first plant spirit as in how it wants to help you, and the general spirit of the plant, move on to the next one!
